Contracts /Suspension /Suspension

This functionality allows the suspension of an active contract, according to the grounds provided by law. The suspension can be temporary and is applicable for various situations (e.g. quarantine, holidays, disciplinary investigation, etc.).

The procedure is done in three steps: Select contract, Suspension details and Summary.

Recommendation regarding the registration of individual employment contract suspensions

Attention is drawn to the fact that the periods of suspension registered in the Register should not be confused with legal acts or supporting documents which constitute the basis of these suspensions.

What is recorded in REGES?

The registration in the register must reflect exclusively the effective period in which the individual employment contract is suspended, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

Attention: These periods cannot be overlapped, even in situations where the supporting documents (e.g. medical leave certificates) indicate intersecting time intervals.

What is filled in the “Other details” field?

The suspension period represents the effective interval in which the contract is suspended, based on the specified legal basis.

In the “Other details” field, you can mention:

  • Additional information regarding the supporting documents,

  • the period covered by the document, if it differs from the actual period of suspension,

  • other relevant clarifications for registration.

Why is it important?

This approach:

  • Ensures compliance with legal provisions,

  • Maintains data integrity recorded in the register,

  • contributes to a correct record of labor relations.

1. Select contract

In this step, select the active contract to be suspended.

  • The contracts in “Active” state are displayed.

  • The following filters can be used: Employee name, Employee surname, CNP/NIF/Other, Contract number, Contract date.

  • Check the desired contract from the list and press the “Next” button to continue.

Only the first 10 results are displayed in alphabetical order. For a precise search, it is recommended to use the filtering fields.

2. Suspension details

Fill in all the necessary details related to the suspension period.

  • Grounds for suspension – select from the list of legal grounds. This field is mandatory.

  • Start date of suspension – represents the date from which the contract will be suspended.

  • End date of suspension – represents the date until which the contract remains suspended.

  • Other details – optional field, can be used for additional clarifications regarding the suspension.

After completing all the mandatory fields, press “Next”.

3. Summary

In this step, a complete summary of the information is displayed:

  • Employee data: name, CNP

  • Contract details: number, conclusion date, type, duration, standard, working time distribution, position, location, county, education level, salary and bonuses

  • Suspension details: legal basis, start date, end date

If the information is correct, finalize the action by pressing the “Submit” button.
